For a university project entitled "Sense of Place", I chose to create an animation of atmospheric bathroom scenes. This came from a personal memory; when I was younger and in the bath my older brother would run in a switch the light off (just to be nice) and I'd be terrified. To this day, I have a fear of not knowing - e.g I would never go in the sea at night (mind you, who would?!) I don't like the feeling of things that could be lurking in the dark...and I don't like the big duck on the logflume at Alton Towers, all of which I'm sure stems from this traumatic childhood experience.
